Sitara Devi is an eminent Indian dancer
of the classical Kathak style of dancing. Rabindranath Tagore described her as
Nritya Samragini, meaning the empress of dance, after watching her performance
when she was just 16 years old.

- Sangeet Natak Akademi Award in 1969,
- Padma Shree in 1973.
- Kalidas Samman in 1995
- Nritya Nipuna.
